Needless to say i never heard from my friends again nor a family friend who happen to be a firefighter which i didnt learn about till 2 weeks later

My initial feelings were of sadness followed by anger and a sense of loss that i was not able to comprehend.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope you are okay now.

Not only the people who have directly suffered and died for that cause, but for the plunge of the economy then, and the families who have had their rice bowls taken away. My family was one of those, and my dad had been living in retrenchment for a few years before he finally found a couple of stable jobs.

It should only be remembered as an event that mourns the death and prior adversities that entailed, as well as, the honorable who fought to their best end, as a result of that unfortunate incident. Sad to say, politicians are rushing and jumping in over their heads to summarize a hairsplitting issue of racism out of this.

Anyway, my greatest condolences for all.

I had a day off work and finalising plans for my 21st birthday celebration party later that evening. I remember thinking that my world was coming to an end. The footage of the planes crashing into the twin towers were so surreal
