And no, the real point is people use the word 'Weeaboo' in wrong situations, such as your friends. That happens for so many other words. Like 'emo' for e.g. we call emos everyone who puts a lot of black eyeliner nowadays because we love to mock people. It's just bad usage, not objective meaning.

I'm just going to copy and paste my first point.

I said defined OBJECTIVELY. You do realise that ALL words have definitions. Some are relative and some are not but most can be found in the dictionary.

When I say dictionary I meant as in a normal one... like the Britannica.

Furthermore.. big deal.. to my friends you are wrong... so who is right? The dictionary can't prove either of us to be right which means it is a RELATIVE definition.

That is the definition.. but it's relative. To some of my friends those that listen to Japanese music but don't understand the language are "hyper obsessed" and are Weabos. Therefore Weabo is a slur.

I'm not saying I don't believe you.. I'm just saying that it's irrelevant.

But to someone who has no interest in Japan at all and that has contempt for people who are interested in Japan... then WE are the Weabos to them.

It's relative.

Well that's what you said before, so forgive me for the assumption.

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to illustrate here. All it shows is that I've been consistent throughout the whole thread.

Dude, do you need the definition of 'objectively'? Because you can't take that word one way or the other, it's just one way. The other way is you're retarded.

And no, dictionary shows that your friends are wrong, because they are going away from the original definition (by consensus) this word had/has. The word was created for what the dictionary says for, you're just misusing it.

inb4 define the word 'define'

Damn I remenber back in the days asking people randomly to define words.
Gave me a hell of enjoynement.

PersonA: "This is a candle."
PersonB: "Define candle."
PersonA: "A candle is a solid block of fuel (commonly wax) and an embedded wick, which is lit to provide light, and sometimes heat."
PersonB: "Define heat."
PersonA: "In physics and thermodynamics, heat is energy transferred from one body or thermodynamic system to another due to thermal contact when the systems are at different temperatures. It is also often described as the process of transfer of energy between physical entities. In this description, it is an energy transfer to the body in any other way than due to work performed on the body."
PersonB: "Define system."
PersonA: "Dude what's your point?!"
PersonB: "Define point."
PersonA: "Fu** you dude..."
PersonB: "Define-"

*PersonA punches personB in the face*

Haha.. wow.. all aboard the fail boat alright.

objective - definition of objective by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Quote:

1. Of or having to do with a material object.
2. Having actual existence or reality.
3.
a. Uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices: an objective critic. See Synonyms at fair1.
b. Based on observable phenomena; presented factually: an objective appraisal.
What part of the following (which is your quote from Encyclopedia Britanica) is objective?

Quote:

"weeaboo (noun): a non-Japanese person exhibiting an obsessive admiration for Japanese anime that often extends to the broader Japanese culture"
I've already shown via my examples that the definition is subjective.

Wait what? What did you prove here? o.O Those definitions about 'objective' have no meaning the way you're using it. You're taking a word objectively which makes no sense... how can't you tell it's just misusage?

And please, stop answering questions with other questions, thus avoiding answering my question in the first place.
