Do you know for sure they are flirting with you? Cause, maybe it's all in your head.

Or maybe you're too hot for them to not make it obvious they'd like to screw you, and so that's what it's all about: sex; and they're not really wanting anything from you but some steamy time with a hot new man.

Yeah, it's flirting. Uncharacteristically blatant too when it comes to the Japanese. Sometimes to the point where I feel like I gotta just walk away otherwise I'll be forced into a situation that would be grounds enough for my girlfriend to want to leave me.
I don't wanna seem like I'm some sort of celebrity icon here, but honestly a decent looking foreigner will have a hard time shaking off the trash here.
These days I've found some more respectable circles of less slutty people to hang out with, but it may just be because they're new that they don't feel comfortable enough to do what the last bunch has done. ><

Where are the other foreign guys here who've been in Japan a while? And experienced what I mean? I know I'm not the only one ...
The more Japanese I learn the more intense it gets too.

It's getting hard to find a good group of friends to hang out with in which I don't make all the guys jealous and some of the girls distracted.
I swear I'm not conceited ... just saying it how it is, honestly I'm an "average" at best back home.
I guess the resolution is to find places where I can hang out where I don't get pounced on. Sometimes it happens while my girlfriend is right beside me, which infuriates her ... even though I don't react to it -_-

Heeey New Year's still two days away and my resolution is half way complete already. I'm almost done with season 2 of Dexter. Go me! :cool:

HI James, I guess its rather like back in WW2 when the americans came to UK-- and the local females fell madly in love with them. they handed out bubble gum and nylon stockings-- and many girls HA HA ended up with an extra mouth to feed.


Maybe its like that in OKINAWA or where else the American service men are. there is an attraction to someone different really.

I used to have a white shirt that I wrote "おれはボケがいじん" on in big black marker, I didn't know any kanji at the time so it looked just like that...

It didn't help, or, it did help, depending on how you look at it, at the time I was single, so it helped ><
