I don't mean to blame nuclear power, but like you said it's human mistakes.

Human mistakes always happen, it's unavoidable. Making a system that doesn't have severe consequences when human error occurs is simply wiser.

Nuclear power is close, but not there yet.
If the windfarm manager comes to work drunk, it's a different story lol :)

Or, say, if a bunch of extremal BASE jumpers makes a speedy fly through mentioned windfarm:eek: Still no reasons to blame wind energy for bloody mess of legs, arms and heads....

Well, if we buy the 1600KM suggestion, then nowhere on that side of the globe will be safe.

Come to Canada, build another Odaiba in the middle of lake Ontario.. that will benefit everyone, especially our boring country...

Nuclear power can power my computer and everyone elses in the state. Windpower can pump water for the family cow. That's about the extent of it. Wind and solar will NEVER be suffcient for the power needs of today's lifestyle. I'm not apposed to those being utilized as best they can to supplement our other sources, but they can't replace them.

Okay I am fully convinced now that this is not some wacko lady from Germany, but a bonafide troll. Anyhow mods please ban this probably fat-ass never had a date, dorkfaced loser living in his parents basement, with nothing better to do than entertain himself by spamming about events stemming from a horrific tragedy. Enough already. Put this loser in his place so he can start spending his pathetic life elsewhere.

I won't say NEVER, it will take a while before they are sufficient. With enough turbine or panels in place, it can probably power a single family efficiently. We have programs in Canada (North America as a whole I think), where family can sell power back to the grid by installing their own panel. The panels look UGLY, and its huge (Occupy almost the entire roof of a single garage home), but its efficient enough to power that ONE house and sell power back to the grid

That said, the system itself cost over 6-8K to install, then there is the maintenance of it.

I think what they are trying to do is to make it efficient and cost effective enough that enough household are willing to adopt this, and everyone will be producing their own form of "free" energy. It will be a true dream if we can get 25% of household doing this...

It is very difficult to use Renewable energy in Japan.:(

"The population is few", "The country is wide", "There is a neighboring country in succession"
If one of the conditions is not filled, management cannot be done.

However, the photovoltaic power generation is the same as the recycling of dirt and ineffective.

Does not a huge battery drop anywhere?:( :( :(
