I went to hanami - god its beautiful ... So many pictures it doesnt do justice - the experience is far more appreciated actually being there...its only day 3 ... So much to do still ;)

mechagodzilla, are you in Tokyo? :) I thought hanami parties were cancelled altogether.. :) I'm headed to Tokyo this wednesday, do you reckon the flowers will still be there? :o

Just came back from a stroll alongside a river lined with sakura trees. The petals surely have started fallling but the good 80-90% of the flowers are still in bloom. I would say you still have a good chance.

I am only speaking for the Shinjuku area, though. And who said hanami parties were cancelled altogether? We ain't that kinda people.
