That statement is so flawed I don't know where to begin . . .

I think special hospital-like centers should be set up to take in people who have suffered radiation exposure. It's understandable they don't want to mix them up with other patients in hospitals, but they have to take care of them one way or another, that's for sure.

They will if you can't pay for your treatment or can't afford medical care. It's funny you chose America of all places as an example.

Feel free to look up Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act.

Your disdain for America is well-known, but don't spread untruths.

Yes, but isn't that only for emergency care? And how does an 'emergency' get defined? I know the healthcare has been reformed of late, so my information may be out of date, but I heard that people get turned away all the time for various injuries/sicknesses for having the wrong insurance or their insurance not covering certain things. . .

I mean there's been cases of people holding up hospitals, and people going without meds/treatment, and I think it might have been you (sorry if it wasn't!) who posted a thread a while back criticising how many people couldn't get dental care and sometimes had to wait in huge queues for charities to give them work for free.

If an American citizen broke a leg or was giving birth or needed drugs for a rare/severe disease, and didn't have insurance, would they really not get turned away? Would they get the treatment they needed?

That's true, but then those that can pay have to pay for those who can't. I'm not saying their health system is better than ours or vice-versa....

you couldn't be more wrong with this silly statement.

America still doesn't have an acceptable Health Care System. Obama tried to finally make it humanly, but failed hard.

You should have mentioned Canada instead, but hell no, not America..

You wanna bring that up again? Really?

You seriously need to stop obsessing over every single thing I say about it. I don't particularly dislike America. If I had such disdain, as you say I do, I wouldn't be looking into moving there, which I am, so stop making assumptions. Some things about America are wrong. Their medical care system is one of those things. Does that mean I hate America? No, it doesn't. You guys choose to not have a public medical system paid for with taxes. Are you gonna argue that too? You will probably try to, but whatever. America isn't known for having the best medical care system in the world, that's why I think it's funny someone would mention people don't get turned away in American hospitals. And since we're sharing links: Sicko.

I am not the one that brought it up. If what you said was true, I wouldn't have commented.
