It's sort of hard to describe to people who have never lived in such a place what it's like to live without fear of crime. I know there's some crime in Japan but in a small country town in Hokkaido it was practically non existent. In all the years I was there I never heard of one house being broken into, not one car being stolen. Not one mugging. I never locked the doors on my house and rarely locked the car. To live without any fear whatsoever of any sort of crime is pretty amazing. Not too many places in the world where it's possible.

Second that too, I lived in yoksuka when I was a kid, we never lock the door at home.. Uncle lives in Omiya, same thing, never have to lock anything.....

Yes that is another huge boon..being safe. Even in Tokyo it's an everyday thing to see elementary school kids riding the trains alone or in groups of 2-3 other small kids going to and from school.
As the media fear-mongers everyone into believing there's a rapist or murderer around every corner this may change though.

For all I know, he might not speak a lick of Spanish. Where you live seems pretty backwards.

I'm not saying it's wrong to use English if the customer has proven himself incompetent in the language. But only after rather than racially profiling.

because japan just like my country doesn't have diverse native ethnicity as opposed to england or usa where blacks, hispanics and the rest of the world is represented in masses. i maybe see 3 black people in a month. and that is just maybe. and i know for a fact that they don't speak my language. same is in Japan. they can easily tell people apart from looks and their likely language ability because just like with my country there are almost no other native ethnicities (except for some other asians like Korea or China)

so, just because your country is coloured like a rainbow doesn't mean it stands superior to other that aren't. that is why they don't bother.

Making up an argument and then contradicting it is not reality.

If you are trying to argue that wearing shoes into a home is cleaner than not wearing shoes into a home, then you cannot win.

Not wearing shoes is cleaner. Believing so is not arrogant or superior.

lol...I was going to leave these comments be because I thought we can move on and sometimes people get upset and say things they regret but just to point out the complexity of our emotions and our arguments:

if THOSE words are a "little extreme" what would you call these:

Note: These are our Mods!!! lol

Neither one was reprimanded at least publically for their words but now a man explains his paradigm, his opinion, his outlook on this subject and multiple mods have called him out for his 'extreme' words.

Anyways!! I think we can move on and respect each other (or .. they'll just ban me lol) BUT: to continue with the topic: I love anime!! (oh i sed it..the ultimate swear word!) and I think .. i kind of dislike the gaijin. I thought we could all be friends but .. they're just too cliquish and "cool" for me let me tell ya

No, you're just extremely racist. Because you don't see a lot of minorities in your country, you just assume they can't speak your language..
