Help Needed: American Sitcom Titles
I am writing an piece about older American sitcoms for a Japanese magazine and having a hard time trying to remember the titles of two particular ones, both of which are from at least 20 years ago.
Any help would be appreciated. 1. This one is about a family with 2-3 kids. If 3, at least two are girls IIRC. The father wears a tee-shirt or sweatshirt from a different college in every single episode. This is said to be due to his inferiority complex about himself not having attended college. 2. This one is about a diner with the owner chef, his waitresses and customers. The middle-aged owner speaks in a horse voice and IIRC, he speaks non-rhotic. The "main" waitress is brunette. Another waitress, who is blond, speaks with a Southern accent and she says "Kiss my grits!" once in a while. Thanks in advance! |
First one: Too Close for Comfort (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Second one: Alice (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I've never heard of either of them lol. |
