Tanabata Festival!!
 

I love Tanabata because it's completely non-religious and tremendously romantic. I ususally go to a festival not to far from home to see all the decorations and to eat and drink at the stalls. Kids can play many games there, too, like catching live goldfish, drawing for various goodies, etc..

My girlfriend and I are going to Disney Sea. We went to Tokyo Disneyland for the festival last year.

I just spent the day helping to set things up for the Tanabata festival at my son`s kindergarten. They brought in huge bamboo branches, and we tied them to the ceiling and decorated them along with the rooms and the covered walkway between classrooms. Quite some work.
