Japanese Airports Speed Up Immigration, Customs for Foreigners
 

From the Japan Times today:

The Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry recommended Tuesday that the Justice Ministry take steps to shorten the immigration processing time for foreigners at Japanese airports.

The new goal is a 20 minute processing time for foreigners entering Japan at all airports. However, Haneda airport in Tokyo and Kansai International Airport failed to meet the target in any month last year. Narita International Airport and Central Japan International Airport near Nagoya had only a slightly better success rate.
