clubbing in tokyo

so i just turned 20 about 2 weeks ago so i finally have the chance to blow my money at the clubs. i heard that womb, ageha, club asia, and club harlem are all good but which ones are worth going to? last sunday i went to a club near club asia but i forgot the name. wasn't that good though...but the cover was only 1,000 yen so it wasn't too bad. any recommendations would be appreciated. :vsign:

I was thinking. How strict are the japanese night club guards with the age? And if you're from another country. Are they perhaps kinder?
Im turning 20 in september this year, but when I arrive to Japan Ill still be 19.
If you pretend that you dont understand the language, and that you "dont" have a passport. Will they give up and let you in? ^^.

Im from Sweden btw.

The bars I've been to haven't carded me at all. But the only club I went was pretty strict. What's more, guys age requirement was 23 and up. Girls is 20. My brother is 22 and was pretty upset about this. I just let him use my passport and I went in 5 mins after with my California ID :vsign:
BTW, the club is Club Alife in Roppongi. The club itself was very nice, but the music was not the best in my opinion. Really hardcore techno and really old outdated hip hop tracks every once in a while.
Lots of people recommended me to go to Club Ageha ([ ageHa ])
Supposed to be the biggest club in Japan. I tried to go but their popular events sell out pretty quick. Hopefully I get to experience this club before I leave.

One thing I didn't like about clubbing in Japan is that there's no hooking up in the club. Strictly prohibited... WHACK!
Everything else, was a lot of fun!

Hope this helped a little.

They are pretty strict in clubs. But even if there are only a few, there actually ARE clubs where you are allowed to enter from the age of 18 years on.
For example the club "Atom" in Shibuya.

.

you sure about that??? couple of my friends have never had trouble...

ehhhh. they dont really check ages much any where.

cept the nicer ones.

Vanilla is decent and i go to Lex and Gaspanic a lot.

Midas/Felfare are good 2.

i get into Lex free cuz my friend works there. Lots of models and celebrities go there.

Its called the new lex now.

they some times card when theres a bigger guy to girl ratio.

but they only card guys.

I prefer lounges. sheesha bar ismy favorite lounge.

like i said, high end clubs, and when they reach a limit of guys, they start to card.

Young people dont spend as much money as the older crowd

nothing funnier then seeing 10 teenagers chip in for a bottle at a nice club and a table that seats only 3

Hrmm, when we go to Japan (hopefully), I will be 18 and my friends will be 17. We really want to go clubbing, and I've read all the posts, but I'm still not confident on how we'll be able to get in, be it the 18+ clubs (for my friends) or the other 21-23+ ones. Nor am I very familiar with tourists and club entrys. I realize that we'll have more chances of getting into a club if we are accompanied with hawt gurls, so we'll deal with that when we're there :).

Also, what clubs are there that play trance music? I like the House/trance/even hardstyle if it exists in Japan LOL and other such music, can you name any clubs that play that kind of music? Staying away from the RnB/Hip-Hop would be a plus though, don't like dancing to that.
I'll be sure to remember the names of these clubs and search it up at a later date.
