flying into Itami - going to Kyoto
 

Can anyone recommend the easiest way to travel from the Itami Airport in Osaka to Kyoto. This trip will be my first in Japan, so the less complicated the better.:)

I'd take the bus from the airport to Kyoto. Takes 50-60 minutes depending on the traffic. I say bus because if you take the train, you will have to transfer once.

if there is a bus going directly to Kyoto, it might be convenient for you.

if you want to take the train, you use either JR or Hankyu Line.

if you use JR Line you need to change at least once:
JR(Itami ) -> JR (Amagasaki) -> to Kyoto

if you use Hankyu Line you need to change twice
Hankyu (itami ) -> Hankyu (tsukaguchi) -> Hankyu (Juso/Umeda) - Kyoto.

The bus goes to South Exit of JR Kyoto Station. That's the best way.

It departs from bus stop #5 and #15.
