Clean and inexpensive hotel around Tamaike Sanno
Work takes me to Japan later this month, and I will need to spend a night or two around Tameike Sanno station (or any of the stations near the US Embassy).
I know there are some very nice hotels around there, but I am looking for something a little less pricey. Any recommendations are appreciated. |
Akasaka Hotel Monterey might be a good choice. I admit that I've never stayed there but I've stayed at the hotel in Kobe that's run by the same company and I've always liked it there.

Toyoko Inn Tameike-sannou-eki Kantei-minami
not stayed in this one but been in a Toyoko inn in Osaka and it was amazing for the price, clean, comfy and free yummy brekki :D |
My husband stayed near that station for about a month on a project, and also swears by Toyoko. They`re reasonably priced, clean, have good service - plus, if you join their members` club you receive a free night for every 10 you stay in one of their hotels. They have locations all over Japan, so even if you only stay a night or two now having that card may save you later on if you stay at another of their places.

Akasaka Hotel Monterey looks very nice, but is a little out of my budget. I will look into Toyoko Inn.
Thanks, everybody! |
Toyoko Inn was booked...should have known. Am going with the Centurion Akasaka...hope no one has any horror stories.
