Tokyo Accom - 4 in a room?
Hello everyone :)
I have just joined this forum after much frustration trying to get information from the internet and travel agents. This seemed like a good place to get the information I need from people in the know! Besides having always had a facination with Japan, I am also planning a holiday to Japan for some clients. I am having difficulty finding hotels in Tokyo (walking distance from all the nightlife) that will sleep 4 people in 4 separate beds in the one apartment/room. They don't all need to be sleeping in the same actual room, but in the same apartment/room number if that makes sense. It needs to have western style bathrooms as well. I have been able to find hotels that sleep 3 people in 3 separate beds, but not 4. I got told by one travel agent that this doesn't even exist - surely this can't be true!! Any help would be fantastic, and thank you in advance! |

Your best bet is to look at ryokan or traditional Japanese inns. There you can have a larger group stay in one room (they'll sleep on futons) It can be a little expensive, but cheaper than individual rooms. |
Thanks MMM, I can stop looking now for something that doesn't exist!
Here in Australia you can get hotel suites with two bedrooms (sometimes even 3 bedrooms), two beds in each room. I need the 4 separate beds because I can't have any of the clients sharing a bed. I'll have a look at the ryokans as you suggested, I know a little bit about them but am sure i'll find threads pertaining to that on this forum. Have just been having a bit of a look around the some of the different threads here. Being an adopted Korean brought up in Australia, I have found some of the views and opinions both eye opening and amusing! Thanks again :-) |
In Japan any larger group usually stays in a Japanese style room with as many futons as they want. Sometimes there are two "rooms" that can be split. But it`s always tatami and futons.
I think it will be very hard, if not impossible, to find 4 beds in a single room/suite. |
