Hi,

Sorry to hijack your thread, but would you think it is advisable to book the ticket now for April 2011 to Tokyo now? I checked that SIA can book now.

Thanks!

If you are sure your plans won't change, then you might as well, no harm done

Personally, I don't see the point. 1 year away is too far. Life can change too much in a year, and you're unlikely to get a better deal now.

hey guys,

i have booked my flights and the countdown is on.
I ended up going with May 16th - 24th

my question is, how long would you allow to see the following sights in kyoto:

Kinkajuji
Kiyomizu
Gion
Nishiki Market
Arashiyama (monkeys and bamboo)
Fushimi Inari

could all this be done in a day or two?

the other thing im thinking about is the location of these places and what order im best seeing them.

any tips appreciated,

Ben

I would give it 3 days to do these. Fushimi Inari can easinly be half a day, and so does Arashiyama..
