what prefecture are you staying in?
how old are you? how long are you going to stay? well on the top of my head, Roppongi Hills has some great places to eat and Gaijin Clubs, a pretty easy start. More English speaking people, you can find other tourists and maybe get some of their advice of where to go. Also there is a new place called Tokyo Midtown, basically a bigger better Roppongi Hills. You'll have to Visit all the signature spots, Shibuya, Harajuku, Omotosando. etc etc. learn to use the Subways and trains, cuz Taxis can get expensive. Jr Yamanote line and the Hibiya line takes you pretty much any of the major spots in Tokyo. I go clubbing in Roppongi a lot and right below Gaspanic and next to Donquiote is a awsome all night sushi place that opened up last year. REALLY good stuff i forget what its called ill have to go back tonight and get the name for ya. Feria, Lex, Vanilla, Gaspanic, Sheesha Bar and Vibrations are some decent ones i usualy hang out at i Roppongi. In Shibs theres Club asia, Atom, and gaspanic chains. Best thing to do is find a friend and go bar/ club hopping and see what you like. n e ways supply a lil more info, and i can give you some less general advice also take a look at my phone thread if your gonna try to meet new friends and stuff. its very frustrating trying to call people thru pay phones =P |
i hope i may get to go to Japan sometime soon! If not, After i graduate HS in 2009. =]

Harajuku on Sunday is the place for the cosplay, greasers and live bands.
Tourist attractions, Senso-ji at Asakusa, Tokyo Tower in Roppongi, some Shinto shrine near Yoyogi park, and Tsukiji fish market are about the best attractions. Then I recommend you go to Kamakura and Yokohama. Check out the shrines, the big Buddha statue and go to the beach at Kamakura. Yokohama has a little theme park and China town which is good if you've never been to China. Otherwise it is fairly lame. After that, go to Nikko in Tochigi prefecture. Lots of shrines and waterfalls with massive trees all around you, it is quite beautiful. |
and if you are in Nikko, don't forget Edo Wonderland :D
