I went to Japan in July of 2002 for a week.

I just got back from Japan today on a school trip! It was very very fun, though it's extremely hot there at the moment. The first week was sightseeing Japan, going to places like Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Nara and Nagoya, and the last week was staying with a host family in Tokoname (just outside Nagoya). Everyone got really close to their host families, ahh we were all crying at the airport! Hopefully my host sister Eri will be able to come to Australia next year and my family can host her!!
