i can argue that point because like suki stated, a lot of of renaissance art was covered up or changed because it aroused people....
and i could easily say, someone can look at hentai in the artistic sense of how beautiful a manga body it!! i'm sure not everyone that watches hentai does you know what!!!

I would say anything put down on 2D and 3D is an art. Hentai animes are of course one of them. Just that motivation is different.

I would say so but why do most people see play boy and stuff as porn cause in a way its art too. I mean why can the greeks have statues with their dicks hanging out and thats concidered art but if this chick has a pic of her with her boobs showing its porn I dont get it

It just the matter of how you define "art" by yourself. Just like we all are different, the definition of "art" is different for all of us. Some people think Picasso's art is an art, but others would say it's a bull shit. Some people would think "porn" is art, but others say "no, its just a porn". Same to Hentai, Otaku, Anime, and so forth.

I agree with you I think picassos work is ugly but thats just me.
