I've already got a few manga pretty close in the making. >.< The farthest I've done is panels at a convention about manga, which helped spread word about mine. If you go to a con, talk to as many artists you can, and make friends with them. It will prove VERY useful for tips, and a good head start.

I really want to be a manga artist too! Im 13, and I'm not Japanese, but have you ever heard of Meg Cabot? A while ago she wrote a novel called Avalon High, and now recently, she drew it in manga edition, and Tokyopop published it, and she is not japanese! which goes to prove that anyone can do it, as long as theyre committed.:marusmile:

In all honesty, being a manga artist would be really cool.

Sadly, I couldn't draw my way out of a sketchbook, so I'll stick to writing.

Though along those lines, I have dabbeled in thinking about writing for a comic/manga.

Well, I hope to be a manga artist one day! I don't mean to brag, but I think I'm pretty good! ^_^ But, that's just personal opinion. No one's bashed or flamed my work yet!

i wanna be a manga-ka one day- it's a dream of mine. Hey if anyone else is interested in hiring, I'll apply!! Anyone need an artist? I've been drawing for nine years now! XD

I would love to be a mangaka!!!!! Have any of you heard of Shojo Beat? It's the best romance you can ever get from comics!!!! I would love to be a mangaka for them, but they don't and can't accept american manga:pinkcry: , so I'll be a part of Yen Plus.:pompoms: . I've read one of their magazines this month, and it's awsome!!!!! Some of them are a little Hentai-ish:coldbear: <disturbing>

Anyways,I'd love to be a mangaka, yup. I'm working so hard now that I'm trying to get my own trademark, and I'm only 13!:exballoon:
But I'm working on it. So far I've drew 12 comics and only completed 7 of them:crykitty: , but hey, I have school and everything else to worry about.
