Artist Makes Japanese Calligraphy Using English Letters

Japanese calligraphy artist Kunishige Tomomi fuses kanji and English to create magic. "I want to create a revolution," Kunishige told the Mainichi during an interview.

She is creating her artistic "revolution" by using English letters instead of mere brush strokes to form her kanji. She calls her work "Eekanji," which has the double meaning of being "English Kanji" and also the Kansai dialect phrase meaning "pretty good."

When you first look at one of her art works, it appears to simply be stylized Japanese calligraphy. A closer inspection reveals that the English letters that make up the meaning of the kanji are hidden in the strokes of the calligraphy...

The ones for "Dream" and "Sea" are amazing. She also did a fantastic job on "Moon" and "Kiss"

I'd give her a kiss!:D

I'll admit that's pretty cool...
I thought it was going to be something funny
like the one that has some form of kanji, and at the bottom it says "For those who can't read, tilt head to the right.." and when you do it, the kanji spell "
Go f--- yourself"
I died laughing when I saw that...
