Tattoo Translation.

Okay, first of all I hope this is the right place to post this. If not, I apologize.
So my "best friend" ditched me for Fourth of July to go to the beach with her boyfriend of 2 weeks. She told me she was going to her Grandmother's. To make a long story short...I found out she lied. On top of that she got MATCHING tattoos with this guy. She got matching tattoo's with her boyfriend of TWO weeks. Anyway. I saw a picture of the tattoo, but when I asked her what it meant she wouldn't tell me. She said it was a secret. I told her I would find out. She doesn't think I'll be able to. So PLEASE could someone tell me what this symbol means? If this is annoying or these posts are not allowed I apologize in advance. Oh, and she was the one who told me it was Japanese...so if it's not then I'm really sorry! LoL. |
Turning it right side up, I looked it up in my Japanese electronic dictionary and it doesn't appear. So it is either obscure Japanese, Chinese, jibberish, or all the above.

Anything on this one? -_- If it is what she has told everyone it is..I'm going to laugh at how true it is. |

This is exactly why kanji-tattoos should not exist.

I once told a drunk guy that his Kanji tattoo meant "feminine gay man". It was fun to watch him after that. I told him after a couple of minutes I didn't know what it meant. He was pissed, but he agreed with me that no one should get a tattoo in writing they don't understand.

I reduce it to its lowest terms. I make an advance arrangement. I let you exchange opinions. I arrange it. I exchange it. I conclude a pledge. A promise. Not a promise of the business such as the contract(契約), it is a promise of feelings. |

The first tattoo reminds me of the Chinese characters 圭 and 尸 I have no idea what's up with that crazy 横 and 点 on the bottom.
圭 [guī] means Jade and 尸 [shī] means Corpse. Jade Corpse. Honestly its probably complete gibberish... I'll never understand why people get tattoos they can't read. EDIT: I just thought it over and stared at it for a bit and realized the 圭 character might be 王, which has multiple meanings in Chinese, most of them stand for Royalty of some sort. So if it is 王 it could very well mean King Corpse, Royal Corpse, Ruler Corpse or since 王 is also a Surname the surname of a corpse. |
