i got dressed up in drag for halloween last year,it was really annoying how many guys there were like 'dude you're gay' when it was obvious i was just doing it BECAUSE it was halloween! i do find it great how much people are able to criticise stuff that they don't have the guts to do them selves. i've been brave and attached a couple of pics,erm...enjoy and bare in mind that i was quite drunk when they were taken lol

Orodreth 05-05-2008 01:40 AM

You look very cute in that dress, would've looked better without the fake blood though.

catapillera1 05-05-2008 02:46 AM

Lolx5 05-09-2008 03:52 AM

i used to cross dress, until one day i just stopped.

Chad 05-09-2008 05:07 PM

I don't usually consider it cross dressing, but I do wear women's jeans occasionally. Only because tight jeans look a lot better than baggy Jeans, and I don't currently have any tight men's jeans(I'm too poor to afford any at the moment:( )

Asakura 05-09-2008 05:28 PM

I don't know about full on cross dressing but I've alwas wanted to try on a kimono. Like a full on work of art you wear kimono.

;) Asakura, that isn't cross dressing. Men wear kimonos.
Unless, of course, you are talking about full furisode sleeves, a flourish of pretty flowers, and an obi.

Hmmm, maybe my outfit for the Versailles concert is actually going to be cross-dressing. Men's haori, silk ruffled men's poet shirt, damask knee britches. If so, so be it!

I know many who share that sentiment.:)

Nakishee 05-10-2008 03:49 AM

Guy pants rock, makes me feel small or at least thinner^^
I have some t-shirts too...cause in truth guy clothes are comfy to me, despite their limited variety.
its always pants/shorts, t-shirt. repeat.

shoujobeat 05-10-2008 03:21 PM

Kyaa!!! I love guys that cross dress**only hot ones** it's like a werid thing with me I love seeing it, guys with dress and other girl ouftits**I really got this from my VK obesstion***:vsign:

Ningyou 11-20-2008 09:36 PM

I haven't crossdressed yet, but I'm really interested in doing it. I love the Visual Kei look for men, and I think girls can pull that off really well.

:)

Arikado 11-26-2008 07:56 PM

I'll admit that I cross-dress on occasion... >.> But it's for the sake of fashion! Anyway, elegant Victorian styles are based on the principal that there is little restriction regarding what you can and cannot wear if you are a man or woman. I have a lean frame, so that helps, especially when wearing corsets and blouses. However, I have yet to find the occasion to wear make-up and such -.-;; If that time ever comes. I missed Halloween, and wearing make-up on some random day is just...I don't know...awkward.

Because i cross dress and just was wondering if i wasn't the only one the forum ..

Ha, Maybe on accident like if I was going to sleep.
I used to wear my dad's t-shirts, but I don't think that counts??
:D

When I was in elementary and middle school I dressed more masculine. Because I'm such a freak, I can pull off the manly look. But now I wear skirts or unisex outfits. Honestly I don't want to be of any gender distinction. It's very strange to me though. I've had other girls tell me that they think I have the ideal figure, while the men think I look like a boy. I get so confused... For example: I was in a media store and some random lady told me that she thought I was "beautiful." But when I walk to the store and 13-25 old guys see me, they say I look like a boy or that I'm downright hideous. It makes me feel suicidal sometimes. I don't want people to say anything about the way I look, positive or negative. Both are annoying, awkward, or cruel.

Nooooo, you mustn't let anybody get you down like that! Sometimes it's hard to deal with the confusion, but suicide definitely is not an option! Just because some losers decided to make fun of you. You've got to listen to yourself and be confident about it. Besides, nobody has the right to judge you right?

SpectralHarlequin 11-27-2008 07:36 AM

I guess... :]

It's difficult though. Everyone lives in a world where they're constantly told to be something whether they like it or not.

As someone who likes to sing and be a sort of pantomime male, I've always thought it'd be fun to dress in a tux and sing "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy" by Queen. :D

When I draw a moustache on my face, I have to admit that it does look somewhat attractive to me. But I'd never want a real one...

~ S.A.

Edit: OH...and I think it's really cool when men look good in dresses. One of my guy-friends makes a prettier girl than me, I think. I like the way pretty boys look. I would say it's exotic if such a word didn't have so many sensual connotations. Maybe eclectic would be a better word.

It is true that our society is terribly constructed of prejudice, confused moral standing, and generally close-minded "liberty," but there are always side streets in every societal system. If you can discover those pathways, and escape from the decadent loopholes, then you will truly be free from suffering and ridicule. ¦3

My point is, you have to allow yourself to realize that you are yourself, and you know yourself a whole lot better than anybody else on Earth. Trust your own actions, make good judgment, and decide for yourself how to live your life and be who you want to be. ...and ignore all the prejudice, racism, bigotry, etc. It's not your problem, it's theirs.

SpectralHarlequin 11-27-2008 08:07 AM

There's a lot more I'd like to say on that subject, but I don't want to stray too far from the purpose of this thread.

Generally, I don't think I know myself as much as I'd like to. It's nice to know that someone actually replied. Thanks.

You may know yourself better than you think...
And yes, you're right, let us not take too much of a detour from the topic.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cross-dressing is a great way to express yourself. The most prominent message being that you are different and strive to be different in a way. It's also a nice self-exploration...and it's just fun to see how you'd look wearing this and that that guys and gals aren't "supposed" to wear.

SpectralHarlequin 11-27-2008 08:28 AM

Yeah. For some reason, when I was little, I hated playing dress-up. My neice (who is the same age as me), was always into fashion and looking nice. I was disgusted with her because I considered it egotistical, and it can be. Now I think of it as more of an art form.

Wearing different things like costumes or if you cross-dress might give a person more insight to their self. It is a medium of self-expression. I think one of the reasons I used to/still wear some men's clothing is because I felt/feel like women's clothing was/is oppressive. To me it's a symbol of what society expects of the female gender.

Edit: That's not to say that I'm feminist though. I don't want to be associated with the bold and radical stigma of their group. I just hate feeling controlled in any way.

Men's clothing makes me feel somewhat freer or even sophisticated. o.O

I like some women's clothing too. I prefer the classic look though, which most "pro-modern" people frown upon. For example, I like dresses with sleeves. On stupid mainstream fashion shows, everyone laughs at sleeves.

~ S.A.

Arikado 11-27-2008 08:35 AM

Yup, it's true that women's specific clothing is just another part of the societal prison. It's good to hear that you realized this flaw and avoided becoming a part of the monotony. Mixing things up really is the best way to dress.

Some might think that cross-dressing would deter one's self-confidence because of self-consciousness, but in fact it does not. Atleast, that's how I feel about it.

SpectralHarlequin 11-27-2008 08:49 AM

You seem to be quite the intelligentsia. It's nice to speak with someone with such eloquence of language.

Thank you! Philosophy and logic were always my strong points. I also enjoyed our little exchange, and I think you're quite the unique person and a lot more strong-willed than most. I like your general train of thought and reasoning too. It's always a pleasant experience meeting a like-minded individual such as yourself. Feel free to contact me outside JF if you like. I'd be more than happy to have a chat ¦3 No pressure of course ;]

I don't wanna kill the thread, but I've got little else to input on the topic right now.

MissHoneyBeeee 11-27-2008 03:51 PM

there hav been times where i walked onto the guys' side of the store, to be pulled away back to the girls side of the store XD most specifically because of jeans XD they were ripped i think, and i wanted them >.> but i apparently am not allowed to buy guy clothes XD

i can crossdress as a guy if i buy the right pants and a giant baggy shirt and a baseball cap if i wanted to XD my hair always makes me look like a guy with overgrown hair under a baseball cap! LOL :vsign:

TalnSG 11-28-2008 02:13 PM

For a few years I worked with X-dressers, transsexuals and drag queens. Though the three genres are very different in mind set, looks, and focus, they all shared one admirable quality. They knew themselves very well and had the courage to dress as they felt was best for them regardless of how others perceived them. They sometimes had to limit when or where, but they all found venues where they could appear on the outside as they felt inside.

Personally, I enjoy a man who can bend their appearance by blending feminine and masculine apparel, more than one that totally shifts between the two.

xYinniex 11-28-2008 02:30 PM

I can't cross dress. My chest is too noticeable. XD

jpallan 11-28-2008 06:08 PM

Well, I'm not sure if it fits in here that good (or was already posted once) but I just wanted to share this with you.

Apperently this is a crossdressing game show in Japan (a few of you probably know this show). And I just thought, that this transformation is pretty hot / cute! Although, the before-picture was pretty girlish, too. Anyway, here it is ->
YouTube - cute japanese crossdressers

Keaton421 11-28-2008 06:25 PM

I'd never wear women's clothing, but if crossdressing is your thing, more power to you.

DSX 11-28-2008 07:34 PM

The closest I've ever come to crossdressing was once coloring my nails pink when I was a kid, and accidentally wearing my sister's jeans.

MissHoneyBeeee 11-28-2008 08:21 PM

oh, once there was also a day where we had to wear a crazy outfit to school, and some guy wore his sister's pants XD does that count?

YoshimiTheEthereal 12-12-2008 04:13 AM

I used to cross dress everyday of my life for several years. Everyone mistook me for the opposite gender. Now I only do on occassion; I just wear what looks good on me now or what is convenient. Crossdressing rules!

indihime 12-12-2008 04:47 AM

i always had a thing for pretty guys that's cross dressed, they're just sooo cute... their skin, their eyes, their fingers... :lovecat:

i never like girls in 'that' way though *grin*

i have an ex-boyfriend, when he did make up, he just waaaaay prettier than me, it's just adoreable.. :rheart:

koikurasu 12-12-2008 04:50 AM

I've worn Girl pants before, I don't suppose that counts though huh?:)

Arikado 12-12-2008 08:02 PM

Well, I wear black knee-high socks all the time (don't know if that's technically considered cross-dressing). This is partly because my boots are pretty tall, and it's not comfortable with anything shorter than that. I'd get chafe marks and impressions on my calves after a while if I didn't. -.-;;

angelkitty752 12-23-2008 03:34 PM

i cross dress 2 deep down im tom-boyish and i love rock and jrock clothing
so yea i cross dress and if there's a "guy's" shirt in the mall and i like the design ill get it.

but also i do hav a gurly side 2
