first time anime crossplayer
 

since this will be my first time cosplaying at an anime convention,

since Im a boy wanting to cosplay as say Cardcaptor Sakura or Sailor Moon,

any recommendation for what to wear underneath the costume, I went to ACEN 2006 and on Sunday morning before the doors were open, everyone had to wait outside in the freezing windy weather & some of the hallways were broiling hot
does anyone think I should wear matching pantyhose with my costume at the con?

any recommendations for the types of shoes to match the costume & wear?
its a very long way say from going to workshop to purchasing anime item to viewing an anime episode plus the waiting in line...

any recommendation for makeup & how to take off?
I do not want to end up like a drag queen look, but wish to look cute when posing for a pic plus I do not want to end having an alergic reaction say a huge rash on my face or some other place.

since I will be using the boys washroom, how do take off the costume without removing the entire costume?
I wonder how others use the washroom wearing lolita or gundam or a fancy Final fantasy costume?

one more thing, I am not planning to stay at a hotel nor planning to stay at a friend's house.
so should put on my costume & drive there or should I wear regular clothes & put on the costume in the parking lot in the car & what about going home?
I do not want to freak out/shock my folks or anyone else.

as for the bathroom thing,you might have to get someone to alter the bottom
of your outfit 4 you !

i don't know anything about crossplaying, but in my humble opinion, as long as it looks good (aka: looks at least semi-girlish, and not awkward) its good. also, HUGS FOR BEING BRAVE!!! ^_____^

PS: if you are going to be wearing a short skirt, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE shave your legs. its REALLY gross when guy crossplayers wear minis and don't shave... >___< (just a request)
