You might be able to keep some of it out with conditioner, but that`s not going to help you get the dye/bleach to the center well enough for a smooth color. That`s a pain to do even without your hair tied.

most ppl i kno of use mascara to do coon tails :) they take it and do the 'tease' until there is enough color for a stripe, and continue doing it till it looks like a 'coon tail :)

To Safe You Money Use Sharpie...thats what i do and it morks or if you dye it use tape(read that on google)

I didn't think something could look both skanky and classy at the same time... in a weird sort of way.

It's very difficult to do with dye, and when you wash your hair the colour is going to get all mixed.

So usually people get coon tail extensions.

i saw blue and pink coon strip extension at hot top but i got neon green on instead :p

TAPE !!!
simply wrap tape around your hair.
dont use thick pieces of hair.

Personally I'm not a fan, I think they look a bit tacky. But I would never tape my hair D: I can't imagine that'd be very good for it...

So yeah, clip in ftw! [lol.] I'm a big fan of clip in extensions because they are so low maintenance.

i aree with you Misa I love clip in extensions they are better for you,
instead of taping your hair or putting glue in it.>_<
