cosplay

im relativly new to japan ive been here like 2 months and from what ive seen the fashion here is pretty outstanding, what i dont understand tho is this cosplay deal, over the top hair and what not, i mean dont get me wrong to each thier own but how does one get a job and fullfill any type of real world responsibilty dressed like a cartoon charactor. i hear they are mainly hs kids who do this which makes sense. but is it just for attention or do people really like dressing this, and number two, do girls find guys who dress and alot of the time look like girls attractive, i mean my girlfriend says no but i see some of these guys with girls so i was just wondering??:vsign:

It's a subculture. People make costumes and dress-up as a hobby. Most of those people are students and have jobs, but obviously don't dress in costumes to work or school.

mostly, i think cosplaying is just for fun. but i've heard there are places called cosplay cafés where people dress up as anime characters.

I just wanted to see if anyone had an opinion about my cosplay. (Everyone here dislikes/doesn't know about anime.)
Anyway heres my Misa, which I did today.
