Asian Clothing and Asian hate.
Ok, i've only been here in the United States for 5 months now and i'm already hearing white poeple say negative stuffs about asians. I'm in a High School where being an asian is a big deal for people and i'm getting tired of it. Okay, so i want to dress like an asian from now on, so i can show to them that our clothing is better than them. Can anyone tell me what kinds of clothes asians wear? I'm not talking about JRock fashion because that's to heavy to maintain, i'm talking about casual asian clothing for men. I wanna show these racists what being an asian means.

rock that shit :P
and don't worry, it can't possibly be worse than being a lolita freshman |
Just go emo, then everyone will like you ;)

don't do that, trust me |
All those asian haters are just being punks.... im not sure what a casual asian style looks like but a cool look isn't what you wear but how you wear it ^^.
|
Nah I was just kidding, hating people for their look is dumb though. I mean it is tempting cause some people dress pretty retarded, but you should get to know them first before building up hate over nothing.
Oh and if someone doesn't like you just cause you're Asian thats, um racism. Don't even pay them attention. But if you have to, smack em. |

As for Asians dressing better, that's a matter of opinion. Shopping around in the stores here in Tokyo, there isn't a great deal of difference between casual fashion. People in Japan prefer to dress in American or European styles if they can find them. |

Probably M size. Clothes Americans wear? XXXL Hahahahaha :mtongue: (just a joke peoples) |
tee shirt and jeans
like one of a kind t shirts and stuff. =) Something they dont have. |
just model your wardrobe after models in asian fashion magazines. here's one that i like:
STREET/FRUiTS/TUNE |

wearing stuff looking like its from like the shinjuku area are probably quite good idea. |
lol asian clothes are better huh? made my day... you dont want them to treat you like that, but you say asian clothes are superior... so you're doing what they are doing, thinking your race is better and has better stuff. Don't get me wrong bet you would do the same if it was the other side.

the one who cares often dress really well while the counterpart walk around in tacky tshirts with jeans or training pants. not saying a tshirt and jeans cant look good but please dont by clothes 3 times your own size >< |
Hahahaha! X'D
Grow up, sugar.<3 |
hate
There are only some places where Asians and other cultures are discriminated against, especially in central America, and i think in California
but other places embrace, or at the least accept that people are different. I was discriminated against too, around 9/11 because i am west-asian, but it passed quickly. I Have friends from almost every culture, and try to learn about their cultures out of genuine interest. I don't think you should judge all of America with experiences from one city or town |
i say just fcuk (french conn. uk) them all x]
and do your own thing my azn brethren screw all those fashion failures and REPRESENT! =D |

I would suggest doing what you want, and dressing how you want. People can make absolutely no sense, if you think you can change how they feel, then go for it! : D
|
Thanks for all the help, and i apologize if i sounded a little racist there. I was just really so pissed off, i mean, how would you feel if your in a school bus and you would see these people picking up their cellphones and you can see that they are sending text messages such as "Asian Allergy!" or hear people from the back saying "A black man or a white man will never respect an asian man.". That is just annoying. These "White Superiority" mindset is just really so dumb.
|
Hmm...how about bishounen style?
Like Bi Rain, Jun Matsumoto, Hayami mocomichi, Yamashita Tomohisa, you can use their style as reference:) and dont forget make ur hair, grow a little bit longer and style it up. :vsign: |

Well ok, i think what other people says is right, do your think, make your attitude have personality and try to make as many friends as you can, just act regular like nothing happen, like they never really bug you with their silly act.
You might find real friendship in the process. They dont have see you from what you wear but for what you are, isnt it better? |
Well yeah, that's better. Maybe i'll just ignore those people, i'm expecting it anyway. So thanks, and those guys you put up there, i think they are the ones i'm looking for.

You're welcome and Ganbatte ne~! (fight!) V(^o^)V

Yeah, i really hoped i was in California. I don't know if it's just my school or the whole state, but, sometimes its really hard being an asian in United States, with all these stereotypes and the bad portrayal of asians in movies and TVs, its really hard, but i dont mind it.

Really?! It is O.K. Dyed hair is popular. Like here: http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/8...u609169zg2.jpg
That is a Taiwan Boy band. Many teens like that hair. Here is a good site for Tokyo style. http://www.style-arena.jp/index.htm And the shirt with the loose tie. A shirt with a vest is popular too. |

i think the best weapon you have in your arsenal is your face. do you bring lunch to school? most white people i know love love loooove filipino food once they taste it. if you really wanna go extreme go wear a barong tagalog. a white person said something bad about you? respond to them in your native tongue..! see, most of the time mga puti english lang ang naiintidihan nila. |

No need to impress/upstage racists they are basically scum brought about thru ignorance and stupidity Be proud of who you are/where you come from but thers no need to flaunt it in ppls faces Cant stand ppl running about like ">oOooHOoOo im asian haf you notced im awesome, btw have i sed i wuz asian" Just a random example cause i know some 1 who loves the fact that hes half Chinese to near obsession levels Like flaming queens i love all ppl but some of the general populous do my nut in /all personal opinion |
Just ignore those people... Dressing in a certain way just pretty much fulfills the stereotype that they will have of asians, won't make anything better. Dress casual, anything that looks good on you.

always
I'm not asian, but I love Japan. I know how you feel, I'm going Into high school as well next year, and there is always going to be a bunch of losers who will stereotype you, no matter what you do to please them.( Not that I'm saying you would do that) For instance, I have exceptionally pale skin, just because my nationality is finnish and polish, and summer just ended, and I never got a tan at all, and people think thats just weird. Honestly, I am either pale as a ghost, or my skin is so badly burned, I look like this happy/angry face:mad: . I also like to wear long skirts, while all the other girls are squeezing into tight mini skirts. i've pretty much gotten over the fact that i will never be popular, but I just found a couple of friends to lean on, and were pretty close. I can't really give you much advice on what to wear, I just wear whatever I want and let them have their little fashion judjement time. Anyway, whatever you do, DON'T GIVE IN.

im studying japanese at uni and its pretty refreshing to see ppl who dont give a fuck what people thinks about the way they dress, but sometimes i find it too over the top.
there's tasteful j-rock/vk and over the top j-rock/vk if you get me oO im a bit narcissistic tho so i care an awful lot about my appearance xD _but_ its for my own well being and not someone else. |
Just ignore those fools they are just haters:p
