Hello
I'm new here.. And I'm new to the whole loltia thing... This is what I would like to no how old is to old for Loltia dresses? Thanks

I think 12 is too old to dress up like Strawberry Shortcake mushed up with a pretty pink fairy with a crown and a tutu to match.
I mean uh... do what you want? |
hmmmm like when you hit your 30's because yeah.>.>
And WTF whats with the pink tutu isnt that for dancing? And what clown where.<.< >.> I dont see a clown. I think it's fun to dress in lolita.:D |
i think it depends more on how the person looks and how they use their makeup ...
if it is a girl that has a natural 'young' face with smooth skin and so forth .. they can pull it off well into their 30's maybe even 40 ... but once stuff starts sagging ... and teh wrinkles show up ... time to move to another style ... |
If you can pull it off there's no 'limit' to it, if you ask me.
Whether you're old or young. |
Well... ...I can say i've seen a gothic lolita who was in her 70s or something, and just believe me when i say you don't want to see that... -_-
|
If she can pull it off, then why not?
Some young people should REALLY stop dressing up, while some older ones do it quite well. :3 |
Okay maybe it really fits some ppl but i like the rule LOOK IN THE MIRROIR BEFORE YOU GO OUT!!
|
I really like Japanese people's complexion, how do they maintain it.
|
kinda depends what kind of lolita you plan to dress up as, doesn't it?

my mom looked like shes 24 until she hit 40 xD btw im chinese |
It totally depends. You need to wear it in an appropriate place at the right time to pull it off.
So, I wouldn't say there's no age limit. |
I think it's sort of a teen-subculture fashion thing. Ask yourself, how many 20-something year old "scene kids" do you actually see. Sure, there will be some die hard lolita worshipers, but for the most part, the Japanese tend to outgrow it as they either enter the professional workforce or continue on to the university.

hm Yeah, UNI is usually a big step for everyone to change.
you kinda don't put as much effort in clothes, and lolita is ALOT of effort. edit: in addition i'm going to mention i HATE these threads that ask questions about how old is too old, will i get bullied? etc? WTF. if you don't have the guts, don't do it. Those who do dress up in VK and lolita have a 80% chance of being seen as a twat. but they have the guts to take it. If you keep whining about how you get bullied because of it, GIVE IT UP. Im not a big lolita fan, as 99.9% of the time the materials used are really tacky/tackily made... if you put so much detail into something, you can see ALL ITS FLAWS |
