question

Ok, this is something I've always wondered about. You know how in anime and some movies (pertaining to Japan/Samurai or w/e) someone will go to grab some money, and they reach into their sleeve?? Do they have some kind of pocket on the inside of their sleeve? Lol This probably seems like a dumb question to some people but I have no idea.

I'd say it was entirely possible, and to my thinking not restricted to Japanese styles of formal dress either.

Yes. That is exactly right. The sleeve acts as a pocket.

I have often wondered the same thing...Is there actually a pocket in the sleeve, or is the sleeve itself a pocket? Wouldn't things fall out rather easily?

^Exactly what I was thinking^

But when I started thinking about it, it would make sense if the had a pocket(just like a pants pocket) on the inside of the sleeve, with the opening towards your shoulder? Is that how it is?
If that that made any sense lol
