Shoes - Jordans????

Ok, ever since i've been telling my friends that i'm going to Japan in November they all keep asking me if i could bring them back a pair of Michael Jordan shoes.

They say that they sell in Japan for about $20 US dollars.
Is this true?

I am going to agree with Yuujirou here - they`re mixing Japan up with somewhere else.

It is far more likely that they`ll be more expensive in Japan.

Actually not entirely true.
I've had friends that have bought the Nike Air Force one shoes some where in Japan for around ¥5,000. In America they run about $90+. It all depends what you want and where you go. Yet $20 is out of the question.

I have no doubt that on occasion there are models that are cheaper in Japan, or that you can get lucky and find a place that is selling them quite cheaply.

But what I said still stands - there is a higher chance of them being more expensive in Japan than less so.

You could get lucky in the US and find a place having a great sale and likely get them for that amount - but that doesn`t mean it`s the typical price.

If you are looking for imitation knock off brand label products, Japan is the last country in Asia you want to go to.

If you want original MJ shoes, vintage Levis or stuff like that, Japan is the country to go to, but you will pay premium prices. I saw a pair of Levis selling for $11,000 in one vintage shop.

You've got to have something wrong with you to buy jeans at that price 0.0

They were like original 501s from the 1930s or something like that, and were under glass. I don't think anyone was going to buy them.

Pretty cool that they were there though

This thread spiraled so far out of control that there was really nothing to do but purge the crap and close it. *sigh*
