That`s an urban legend. There is not and never has been anything like that here.

It always made me laugh that people believed this. The skirts even look badly photoshopped o_O

So if it's finally came to this..
*shrugs* who knows what'll happen next. Maybe one day, fashion will evolve to a point where everyone will desire walking down the pavement stark-naked. (no offence, just stating my view)

nanajung 03-11-2007 08:23 PM

Wow!! Sexy lingerie .... White cotton panty.

Is this new Fation in Japan now ?

dragonrazor 03-28-2007 12:18 AM

actually, those AREN'T seethrough...the fashion consists of painting a pattern resembling panties and legs on skirts/jeans....i saw an article on it in a magazine last year

Killgore 04-08-2007 02:55 AM

Yup seen one dress that was painted where it looked like she was naked.

is the 50's style still in, in Japan? Saw a show on TLC where Japanese guys love to come down to the states to buy vintage Levis. But that was a few years ago.

i dunno...i know that i saw a video by a group called Pizzicato Five, where they were all dressed like fifties rockers or something

that odd dress fashion is sort of passe to me...i don't get the point of it. especially since most of the girls have better arses and legs than that <<

Picture2Perfect 04-10-2007 05:37 PM

I'm very certain those are Photoshopped. Especially the second one - if you look at her ass [yes sorry] and the legs that are leading off, you can see that they are closed, whereas her actual legs are not together like that.

No it`s not. It is not a real product. It is NOT painted on.
Those are from soft porno magazines. They are completely fake. They have been debunked countless times. No one does or would wear a skirt like that.

I don't understand why people jump all over fake pics, how many times do you need to tell them that its "digitally enhanced"??????????

I'd say ignore them, they can dream on in their little fantasy world....

You are talking about just a small group of people who like to cosplay, it is only a very very small part of its population, a small part that is still not widely accepted by society, these are hardly "Japanese Fashion" per say. They only represent what people does to have fun, it is not meant to be "fashion". Shibuya, Ikebukuro and Ginza are some more "fashionable" area, people do NOT dress like the Harajuku crowd.

Go to jshoppers.com to look at REAL japanese fashion.....

There are definitely some people who dress in a weird manner in Japan, but again, thats NOT Japan, but a small group, and this can happen everywhere. To me Goth is weird, and they are all over Queen St, Toronto, but that doesn't mean that Goth is the fashion of Canada. Its just a small group of people....
