Hey, since this is all about japanese fashion, what do YOU think about white girls in kimonos? I would feel wierd wearing one, because of how very traditionally japanese it is...but they're SO GORGEOUS! I was thinking maybe kimono-inspired clothing would be more appropriate...so as not to trod on other people's traditions...I don't know if I'm being overly cautious.

I think it's fine for "white" girls to wear Kimonos...fact I made one b/c I loved them so much ^_^

You sew?! I LOVE TO SEW! I mostly hand sew because I have an irrational fear of sewing machines...lol jk. I just don't like the noise. Making a kimono must have taken a lot of skill! and fabric. I'm actually ALMOST finished with a skirt right now, it's the first mini circle skirt I've ever made. It was really simple lol.

Are you kidding? I <3 to sew when I go to college in a year my major is gonna be fashion design ^_^

I had my mom help me with sewing the sleves *they're so confusing ^_^*

I don't think my pics are all that good, but it's the ones that show what I normally look like most often (the black hair is when I was in costume as a charactor in oe of my fiance's comic books).
