Osaka Okinomiyaki its the best!!
 

I think i have eaten Okinomiyaki in nearly every city in japan i still think Osaka's got the best!

Can you tell me a little more about this type of food?

well, it's okonomiyaki is famous.

It's traditionally ceremonial (I think)

And I REALLY want to try it. But I don't know where to get it.

It's japanese pizza right? lots of oriental toppings and such...Squid!

It resembles a pizza insofar as it's round and flat, yes... But the similarities end there, if Wikipedia is reliable in this instance.

But, yes, there are a lot of varieties that use squid and such @_@ .

This is the only thing that gives me serious inhibitions about going to Japan: I don't eat any fish that isn't actually a fish, I don't eat pig--basically, pretty kosher diet for me (raised that way--no, I'm not Jewish). The average Japanese diet is... well, not kosher. :p

hahaha! I don't eat pig products either!

Anyhoo, I never knew that..in fact, i know almost nothing now that I think of it, I just read an article in JapanUp! about it....

Kobe's is pretty good too, although people in Kobe do concede that Osaka is the best. Since I don't like the big city I stick to Kobe Okonomiyaki.

ModernYaki might be my current fave.

Oh no my friend. It is a strange pancake from heaven that comes in many varieties... Cabbage, bacon, egg, and cheese being one of my favorites.

Really though, it's the sauce that makes it so wonderful.

it is.. hiroshima okonomiyaki is really good too ..
