Mikan (Citrus unshiu) is a citrus fruit similar to an orange (Citrus sinensis). It is grown in warmer coastal prefectures, especially Wakayama (和歌山), Ehime (愛媛) and Shizuoka (静岡). Its Kanji is 蜜柑 and kana is みかん or ミカン.
