I think you're thinking of the green tea that we drink on a daily basis. That 'green tea' is not the same as the other 'green tea' that's used in Pocky and many forms of Japanese confectionery.

The green tea used in confectionery is the powdered kind (not leaves) that is used in the tea ceremony. It has a much more robust flavor than regular green tea and when it's mixed with sugar, it makes a good dessert flavoring.

Strawberry is my favourite flavour of ANYTHING :D
