Where can i train as a sushi chef?!

Hello!!

I hope someone can help, I'm looking to train as a sushi chef (yes i understand that it takes 10 years of basic training) I've had a look on the internet and all i can seem to find is week courses. I'm looking for a course that will last over a year with the possibility of longer

I live in spain but i am willing to relocate to anywhere to be able to train. Can anyone can anyone recommend a culinary school that does this!!

I'm looking for any advice that is out there!!

Thank you:rheart:

Do you have a local Japanese restaurant? That's where I would start. Ask the staff how to become one. You might eventually get lucky with a job where you can begin to learn basics.

hmmmm

How about here?
I don't know much about this school.
Or ask some Sushi restaurant for apprenticeship. (it will take ages)

Interesting topic,
Yes i agree with Taln, start local and work up. Maybe you will find somewhere to take courses or be recommended by the restaurant where to start looking.

Learn the Japanese traditional way of making sushi then you will be world class :D

as with anything in this country...
the best way to get about... is to have connections >.>''
i got in because my dad knew a guy who was the exec chef of some restaurant...
and from there, i used the experience to go restaurant hopping ^_^
