Singapore Pandan cake

Hi,

If the Singapore Pandan cake was to go on sale in Japan, do you think it will be liked by the Japanese?

Hmm.. I think they would pretty much like the flavour..
Err, I've eaten Malaysian Pandan Cake before, I wonder is there any differences with Singaporean one..

They tend to be bright green and taste pretty similar to vanilla.

Food coloring is not popular in Japan, so the color may be a turnoff.

They do tend to stick colouring in it, but pandanus has a lot of chlorophyll in it anyway and if you use the leaf juice it dyes it all a pale green.

Oh my Mother makes the best pandan cake EVER. Its all light and chiffony. =D

However, if its pale enough, maybe people will mistake it for green tea flavour, Im sure japanese people eat other food besides well typically japanese all the time.

Yes, if it were natural, then I think it might have a shot.
