Chinatown XD. in London.

Losts of junk food stores that sell, korean, chinese, and japanese junk food including a wide range of pocky, meiji sweets, ramen, wasabi etc.

The have 3 stores in china town

i go there ALOT.

There are sushi bars(NOT YO! sushi) near china town, in soho and covent garden. there is a 'japan centre' in regent street that sells, comics, mags, supermarket groceries. The japan centre also has a sushi bar but i wouldnt recommned it bcause the prices are sky high

If you go downhill from Lilly whites, opposite the regent street(japan centre)
there is another japanese department store that sells J cds, J manga and lots of japanese clothes.

And recommended sushi bars

Soho: ten ten Tei: run by japanese people, lunch price is very good, but all set menu.

Kulu Kulu: brewer street and Sheldon street: conveyor belt sushi

and my own sushi bar in greenwich is under renovation now XD, i'll update you on that.

hop that helped. :D

an awsome site to get japanese stuff!!!

this site is awsome, ive already ordered a japanese magazine of lolita goth, on the web site, they have japanese sims video games, every kind of japanese snacks, japanese clothes, bento boxs in awsome designs, tons of magazine subscriptons you can get from japan, manga magazines, magazines to help you with your japanese, and many other awsome things, the only problem is it might take a while for you to get it bcause it comes from japan, and the pricing is a bit exensive, bcause there curreny, and money amounts are different, anyways, this site is like hosted by an american who lives in japan , married a japanese lady, and has half american and half japanese children, after you login, i dont think you have to he will send you daily emails about wats going on in japan, but its only a business email so if you try to talk back he wll never get your respond, anyways, the site is jbox.com
enjoy!!!!:ywave:

Getting food delivered straight from Japan? Would it be edible when it arrived...? =/

Maku 07-04-2007 11:41 PM

JBox is a good site, but I have a shop on the other side of Swindon that I go to for Pocky and instant ramen and suchlike.
And I go to Tescos for my sushi.

chibibecci 07-05-2007 08:38 AM

yeh i like Jbox i've ordered a few things off it but not food... has anyone ordered food off there? and was it okay when it got to your house??

I usually buy some Japanese food at Chinese market in my city, Leeds; you know, Japan and China have similar culture -- you can find ingredients in good price:)

Also, you can buy Tohu and Sushi at Morrisons.;)

chibibecci 07-11-2007 03:43 PM

I finally found another shop which sells lots of oriental foods like pocky and udon. It's in Worcester near Game. I think it was called Oriental Yum Yum or something like that. The prices are really good in there too!! Pocky only costs 55p

SakuraSan 07-11-2007 04:11 PM

TESCO!
*ahem* my Mum got me some from there today so ill be eating sushi tonight!
I think you can get it in asda aswelll but last time i visited they had none!
