Soap, on sushi.

The stuff Im talking about comes in long strips and it kinda looks like seaweed....except its pink. I'll see if I can find a picture.

I've never seen natto offered in Japanese restaurants here. Where can I get some? I'd love to try it. Abe Natsumi said it was her favorite food in an interview once. It does look rather nasty, but that doesn't mean it tastes nasty.

As for sushi, many Americans think that it's raw fish and that keeps them from going near it. I think that's the only reason so many Americans cringe when sushi comes up in conversation. I've eaten it many times, but it's not my favorite japanese food. I prefer noodles.

i think it's generally shunned just because of the whole 'omg how can you eat raw fish' thing people have.

i myself love sushi, tho no one else i know does(they've probably never tried it either) except for a friend of mine who took me out to dinner and ate it w/me ^^

i luv sushi, tho i'm not too big on the wasabi(sp?) and the ginger stuff. it's alright, but not the greatest
