Favorite Japanese Beer!
This goes to all you who enjoy a little drink once in a while, or a lot who knows. I'm not sure how many brands Japan has but i've only tried 3 Asahi, Kirin Ichiban, and Sapparo. I even tried a chinese beer Tsing Tao.
But as for my favorite, i like all of them, but i would have to choose Asahi. It just tastes delicious the whole way through. Super Dry! |
Of the big beer in Japan, I agree. Asahi Super Dry is great. Sapporo Black Label is good, too.
For smaller beers I like Hitachino White Ale. A real treat. |
asahi is too light in flavor, just like the all american bud light, another waste of my time. if you want something with a bite, stick with kirin or even ebisu is good from time to time.
when it comes to beer though, i gotta go with the green bottles.. heinekens all the way. raverboy |
Oh man...how can you compare Asahi to Bud Light!? I think your taste buds are warped my friend, they taste NOTHING alike. Bud Light is my WORST beer ever.
I do agree though Heineken is delicious, but i was trying to keep it to Japanese beers :P I have heard of Ebisu actually, never tried it. As for the Hitachino White Ale....that sounds delightful ^_^ |
i've still to try me some japanese beer!
|
Kirin The Gold, Sapporo All Malt, Asahi premium, Ebisu black.
Sometimes I drink also the cheap Nodogoshi nama, but it isn't good at all. Basically it's not even a beer... |
Asahi Super Dry, Kirin Lager Beer

I have only had the pleasure of drinking two japanese brand beer, namely Asahi Super Dry and Kirin. Both were oke, they did the trick. Both got me to the state of mind they were supposed to bring me to.
But I dont think its great beer, I've had allot better. On a side note; most Dutch people consider Heineken an average beer brand here, but sadly it is the most known beer brand from the Netherlands. |
heinekin isn't really a big beer around the world. it's popular in hawaii though. although budweiser is the biggest brand of america, i thnk that it's one of the shittiest too. i can't stand it.

I've tried Asahi and Sapparo... some of the worst beers i've tried, unfortunately.
|
my dad likes asahi, I don't drink beer and don't plan to.

I myself prefer Asahi, asltough a Russian beer balled Baltic (or Baltika) is ALMOST on par with Asahi super dry.
Iv tried Asahi black, altough its a bit too strong for me. I like the occasional Sapporo, but so far, thats the only Japanese beer iv tasted (74 days until Japan though, il catch up then:p ) |
I love Asahi its on par with a super Australian beer called Bluetounge. I have also tried Kirrin and Sapporo.
|
I'm not one for beer. The only type of beer I've tasted, and liked to some extent, is Yuengling, which is a lager. Of the Japanese beers mentioned (which I have come across, just never had since I drive all the time) would be closest to that, if you know of Yuengling...
|
I like Kirin and Sapporo. Kirin is smoother in my opinion. It depends on what I'm eating to choose between them.
|
I tried Sapporo for the first time on New Years ^^ I thought it was pretty good
|
Ah, this is old hehe. But, i do have some new info.
I was actually able to go to Japan last year, and tried another beer. Suntory Premium Malts. Now that is a good beer! ^_^ |
