and since its more polite i'd like to know how

watashi no namae wa Alfonseca,Freisi desu !
i know that f's and r's are pretty difficult to formulate though

you can write your name as it is. but japanese will pronounce as follows.

if you are chinese, why don't you write it in chinese chracters? japnese will pronouce it in japanese reading, like 胡 錦濤 is Ko Kintou.
if you are not, i think you should use your original language. anyway japanese can't pronounce it so they will change your name easier to pronounce.

Since it would be easier for me to learn all of the Kanji then to try to spell my name even in English, not even speaking about Japanese, i'll settle for the abbreviated english form of it:
