Help

I am looking for an english word for the Japanese word fuku.

i was told it is like to cleanse yourself spiritually, but for the life of me can not come up with a word.

Another person gave me an example of a beatles song. the lyrics being 'you got to carry that weight'

To embark on something new, but to also continue your other duties without scrimping on either of the things.

She has me completely baffled,.

Can anyone help me. Greatly appreciated.

welcome to japan forum!

fuku is just wipe or clean. no meaning of "to cleanse yourself spiritually".
if you want to mean the phrase, it should be "mi wo kiyomeru" or purify.
as for the beatles song, what do you want? japanese translation in japanese or in the roman alphabet?

I heard fuku was... fortune or something. That is, from the phrase 'Oni wa soto, fuku wa tachi'.

japanese has fewer vowels and connsonants compared to english. thus many homonyms such as,
fuku
服 clothes
福 good luck
吹く blow
拭く wipe

and more
