Wake ni wa ikanai...
Ok well I came across this in a magazine, and didn't know what it meant. It isn't mentioned in any of the websites or grammar books that I read so...I was just wondering...what does this mean?
|
How to share baggage?
|
~~~ wake ni wa ikanai = it is impossible to ~~~, I cannot do ~~~
That is a must phrase......an absolute must. |
And it's formation would be...?
|
Is it used in conjunction with the not able to verb conjugation?
|
I should not do (as you say)
訳にはいかない(用例:そういう訳にはいかない)
wake ni wa ikanai (ex: sou iu wake ni wa ikanai) This phrase is often used in the serious situation. You want to do something, but cannot do (or should not do) it because of being restricted by morals, duty, or responsibility. I should not do (as you say), or I cannnot do. |
