Translation... Translation
I need translating something as apose to a sentence. I tried to translate "i love the snow" but i got "love and of snow ". LIke this "愛しの雪" Help plz
|
It's more like
雪を愛して Remember that Japanese uses a subject/particle/action conjugation. Meaning that the verb generally comes after the noun. So it's like you're saying 'the snow I love it' |
雪が大好きthat would be i love snow
愛しているis just a way of saying "to be in love" and I think its rarely used except in shojo manga and songs |
Thanx
I thank both of you. It makes a big to undrstand it now . But what does "shite" mean?
|
'shite' isn't a word, it's a suffix for a verb that's derivative of the work 'suru' which means 'do'. It's like you're putting the word 'do' at the end of a verb like you're saying 'do love', and it can become many different word endings which I still get a little confused about.

No Japanese, myself included, would use the verb '愛する' to say "I love the snow". If you did, we would likely to think you had a special fetish about snow.
james1254 has the most natural-sounding phrase above, which is "雪が大好き" |
So then it would make sense to say:
君の母を愛する:mtongue: |
あなたのお母さんを愛する sounds correct to me.
