Children's Books
Rather than resurrect a dead thread from 6 months ago where children's books were only barely half mentioned...
Can anyone recommend some traditional Japanese children's books? Please don't recommend a translated Dr. Seuss! Theres more to learn from a children's book than just vocabulary. A good children's book written by a native speaker will have examples of how to act in Japanese society - albeit at a very low level. But without that basic understanding where else is there to go? ;) And if you don't think getting the book will be as simple as looking it up on Amazon, maybe you can point me to a site that offers it.
