Easy way?
I have the Japanese Alphabet and I'm trying to learn it...somehow.First of I started out with Hiragana but gave up cause I simply could not memorize them.
So anyone know how to memoroze those characters easier? Thank you in advance~ |
Same way you'd study any language. Though I'm not proficient in Japanese, its the same thing as any other. Look at a part, around 5 characters. Read, memorize, cover it up and say them out loud. If you are correct, move on the next 5. So on, so on.

I've done that, but they're so many and after a few days I forget them.

Well, what I did was say each thing kana out loud as I wrote it and did a lot of rote memorization. Also if you actually use the kana, maybe read some manga with furigana on it, that'll help. Making the connection out side of study helps you to cement your knowledge.

You need to practice them as well. You can't just memorize something once and then just recall it whenever you want as fast you want. Unfortunately, that's just not how it works. Here's what I did...take the first 5 (あ、い、う、え、お、 was the first five on the chart I used), write them down on a paper, reading them outloud as you go. Cover those up, and try to write them from memory. I don't you'll get them right the first time, so don't expect to know them after the first time :mtongue: Uncover the first ones, and see how you did, and go back and do it again. Once you feel that you know those half decently, go on to the next 5 (か、き、く、け、こ...I think?) when you start copying these from memory, don't do just the 5 your on, make it accumalitive(sp?). Okay, I hope that made sense, this is what I used and it took me maybe about a week or so to learn them, so not too bad imo. Good luck!

I'll go back to studying japanese this summer and try to read some RAW manga. |
I think the best way is to make transcriptions.
Your brain will assimilate both very fast. |

Rayne, download Anki the flashcard program. Make hiragana flashcards. Practice with those. You will learn them quickly and easily.
