This sake

Hello,

I tried this sake recently and really enjoyed it. My friend brought it from Japan. But, I can't read Japanese and I want to know to get it. I went to the local Japanese market but can't match the labels.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!!

It's called "Momo-iro Nigori-Zake" by Toukou. It's available in the winter only.

Company website: 清酒 東光

Product info: http://www.sake-toko.co.jp/shohin.ht...kind_id=toko10

Thank you! That was very helpful. It's too bad that website won't ship to the United States. Do you know if I can find that kind here?

Thanks!

I don't know if you can. Typically those available only in winter (as Nago said it was only available in winter) are small distilleries (think microbreweries for beer in the US) that produce very little each year, relatively speaking.

It can't hurt to contact them and ask if you can import it to the US or ask if they have a US distributor. There's contact info on the link Nago provided.

Keep in mind you'd want to do so in Japanese. I'm not sure if you can speak Japanese, since your post count is "3."
