Need Urgent Help!
 
Hello,
I just finished ordering a magazine off of Bk1 (an online japanese store). The problem is I've just realized that I ordered the wrong magazine (Yes, it was a very idiotic mistake.) and now I have no idea how to cancel the order... I looked through their FAQ and it said this:
Q:注文をキャンセルしたいのですが。

A:弊社責による理由のキャンセル・返品は謹んでお受� �いたします。なお、お客様のご都合によるキャンセル� �返品は 原則ご容赦いただいております。

But if I understood that correctly, it's just saying that they accept cancellations and returns, and not how to actually cancel an order. I'm not proficient enough in japanese quite yet to navigate through the site very well, so if someone could give the site a quick browse through and tell me if they state anything else about cancellations, it would be very very much appreciated.

That is NOT what is said in the Japanese above. It says they only accept cancellations and returns when it's the company that made an error. Read the part in red.

Regardless, it would still be a good idea to politely try requesting a cancellation.

Oh, oops! I think I completely misunderstood that second part...Does it say something such as: "Also, cancellations/returns due to circumstances of the customer are generally not accepted"? Is ご容赦いただいております used to imply rejection?

Also unfortunately I never got the chance to contact them and request a cancellation (They were pretty fast and shipped it before I even got the chance to try!), but just for future reference, how exactly would one politely request such a thing? My personal attempt would be: すみません、注文を間違いしましたがキャンセルはでき ますでしょうか。(I hope that's not completely wrong...)

It doesn't imply rejection. It openly says "please pardon us for not accepting ~~~."

Not necessarily wrong but simply very Japanese-as-a-foreign-language-ish.
(間違いしました is actually wrong.)

すみません is too casual when it's you who made the mistake. Say at least 「まことに申し訳ございませんが」, followed by 「間違って注文してしまいました。キャンセルをお願い することはできますでしょうか。」.

Do use 「しまう」 there or you won't get to use it anywhere. "You did somethig by mistake."
