Where to find Japanese tutors

Maybe we could have a sticky on the forum for Japanese tutors to post..

I am looking to learn Japanese, the idea of 1-1 or even tuition in a small group is a lot more appealing. If there are any Japanese tutors around London then please let me know..

Or if anyone knows where I can join classes Etc that would be really helpful..

Thanks :)

Language exchange is freakishly popular, you can do it on skype if you're not living in Japan.
Basically chat in English in exchange for much better lessons in return.

Oh really? Could you give me an explanation of how this works?

Thanks for quick answer too.

There are several sites where things like this exist, or just look for random Japanese people living in Japan on facebook, I bet there's even a group for it.

Basically you give someone your skype address, they contact you and you split up your time however you want for whatever you think is fair.

To a Japanese person living in Japan, skype lessons with a native speaker who understands basic grammar are worth over 2000y an hour. To a gaijin in Japan, Japanese lessons are either free, or free with a side of sex. You do the math.

Oh okay, it's a fair exchange, you teach me Japanese, i teach you English type thing.. Seems like a good way to do things.
Thanks very much for the help

 So, you learn biology first?

Yeah a little more often than you'd expect. A lot of women use "language exchange" as a pseudonym for "sex" ><
