Japanese children cartoons and books?
Hey there,
I've looked around a little bit, but I haven't found anything modern. Does anyone have any recommendations for a Japanese children's cartoon to watch to hopefully improve my listening skills? I'm hoping that a cartoon would have slow speech and a simplistic set of words used. I'm also hoping that books would have clear distinctive writing. Thanks for any help! |
Why would a children's show be slow in speech? Are American cartoons slow with their English? No.
But simplistic set of words, sure (although I don't know what). I've never seen the anime, but the manga is very easy to read: Crayon Shin-chan. It's not for kids, though! It's easy mainly because the main character is a kid. There are a lot of puns and such (and the kid often tries to speak like an adult), but it's still pretty easy to read IMO. Also just google "Hiragana Times." They have the articles with and without kanji, and I think also romaji and maybe the English translation, too. |
