Help me understand a few sentences?
 

Hello! Just reading an email from a friend and there are many things in it I don't understand. I would be very grateful for some help :)

Firstly, what is the intended meaning of 私ね?

Secondly what does イギリスの学校のことの mean?

What is そうしたら?

And finally what does this sentence mean?
私は12月まで十六になるのをまたなければいけません

Im not so good on japanese but i will try. And i dont know if im 100% correct so bare with me.

I think そうしたら means "its value when" or "its price when".

私は12月まで十六になるのをまたなければいけません
"I need to wait for it untill december"

Not sure how correct i am.


And with 私ね i know it says watashi ne.
But i dont know the meaning of it.
私 is "I"
And ね is a particel for a question in a sentence i think.

Like "your number is 123-123-123, right?" where i can describe the "right?" with ね.

But i dont know the meaning of them both together.
Maybe its like "I?"

Like:
1. "Did you eat all the cake?"
2. "I?"
1. "Yes, you"
2. "oh, im sorry".

Dont take my translation as 100% correct.
And sorry if i messed up.

I am going to make the guess that the ? is part of your question and not what was said.
Without context it is hard to pinpoint what was meant specifically, but it is most likely clarifying that the subject is the speaker. "I mean myself" or "I am talking about me".
If it is the beginning of something, like "私ね、そういうの嫌いです" or the like, it is along the lines of "You know, I (such-and-such)".

If the question mark was included in the original, then "me, right?"

It all depends on context.

An incomplete sentence, but chances are a 話 followed.
"The (whatever comes after) about school in England". If my guess is right and 話 is the next word in the sentence, it would be a broad "about school in England" - perhaps there are plans in the future for an exchange? Or you are inviting them to come and go to school there?

And then, or after that happens.

I usually wouldn't translate a sentence without an attempt from the asking person, but I think this is one that is hard to understand for learners.
"I have to wait until I turn 16 in December."

Out of those four, you should have given some context to the first three. Otherwise, all anyone could do is guess.

i.e.
Besides what Nyororin said, そうしたら can also mean "Why don't you do so?"

Ah thank you all very much! Sorry for not giving more context! Also the one about school in England, that was the whole sentence! Maybe she made a mistake, Japanese is her second language.

Also could you help me understand why 行けません was used in that last sentence? I understood everything except that. I learn it as forbidden to do something...

It is いけません, not 行けません. It has nothing to do with "going".

～～しなければいけません　＝　～～しなければなりま せん = must do ~~~

Just why????

Ahh, so nakereba ikemasen is the same as nakereba narimasen?
